For the terraspace competition held by =environaut.
I´m not expecting to win the thing though, since there´s already much better entries in it than mine. But still, the render provided by Mike was really good, and it was already a pleasure working with it, even without the competition.
Also, in a long while, a very experimental and more importantly, educational piece for me. I will try and take this new experimental vein further with some future terraspacepieces, I really liked the way I worked this into existence.
my eyes keep flip-flopping between seeing these gorgeous clouds and fractal wisps...
an intresting consequence of cropping the terrain was that it made the depth of the terrain, in the part of it shown, a more dominating part of the image. In most of the entries, mine included, more of the terrain is shown--and at good resolution--but it's still a much smaller fraction of the whole image. I guess what I am saying is that you found a way to make the terrain stand out from a crowd of it's own reflections. kudos!
