Title shamelessly stolen from Carpathian Forest. :horns:

For the competition running @ =abstractsilence, these is/was The Witches of the Harvest Night. This isn´t actually a nighttime scene, but it´s close enough I guess.

Fullview recommended, like always. :peace:

"Advanced Critique Encouraged"...
hmm.. let me try to think of some suggestions.

it is really difficult to find seperate figure stock photos that fit together as one piece. i have tried that a few times and have usually given up since the photos did not have the same sharpness or source of light. the lighting is really imporant because of many people are visible in one image they should have the same level of highlights (usually from one direction) and shadows.
the 2 dark ladies fit together very well and they both have one side of the face covered in shadow. to give the lighter lady that same look you could try to airbrush her and add some whiter and some darker areas.

someone has already mentioned the hair. i think a few hair blowing in the wind would look great.

now those were my suggestions. i hope that they were helpful in any way :)

and i also have lots of compliments: the fog is well done. it creates a mysterious atmopshere and looks very natural. the rocks at the bottom are great too and go very well together with the sculture and trees in the background.
the desaturated colours are nicely chosen.

wow, i haven't writtensuch a long comment for a long time :D

Hehe, yeah, I just checked my messages, and was all like wow, no-one writes comments like this anymore. Nice to see you had the time though, and thanks for the tips. This one I concider oldie already, learned this and that after it. But thanks for pointing the flaws any way, it´s pretty much the areas I pay much closer attention to these days when creating new stuff. :)

:) i know what you mean, i usually don't change my old art and just keep it to notice if there is any improvement in my style after some time. or something i redo the whole thing and upload it as a new version.

don't worry, i had lots of time that day. i was waiting for an important phone call and had to stay in the flat the whole day.
and since you had written such a long comment on my art i thought it would be nice if you get some comments in return :D

Yep, I do the same with the oldies, it´s good to keep them visible and check them out every now and then with new set of eyes. Easier to spot the mistakes and do better with the new work. :)

Very beautiful! Thank you for using my stocks. I also agree with the others that softening the edges may help with the layering :)

Juu, en itekkään kovin tyytyväinen lopputulokseen. Ois mahdollisesti toiminu paremmin jos ois tiputtanu värit pois ja lisänny jotain sävyä. Mutta hyvää treeniä tuonki rakentelu silti.
