Melancholy to me is a feeling hard to express with any image. It´s something you feel, not what you see. But anyway, since entering with a blank image and competing with it might prove difficult, I created this instead.

I didn´t have anything too specific in mind in the beginning, all I knew was that I´d rather shoot myself in the face than try and portray melancholy with a sad girl weeping on a seashore. Or near a grave. :p

So, in the end, was staring at this, and liking it somewhat. The lack of life in it seemed like a decent way to get the melancholic-vibe to it, with only naked bones & withering thorned plants without any actual leaves or flowers.

Hmm, but enough rambling, thanks for the clicks. :peace:
